Blueberries! Looks like it will be a good year.
It looks like a good berry season at Hangman Hill. The gooseberries have formed and should be ready in a few weeks! Send recipes.

Saturday at the Goodspeed Opera House
We spent Saturday evening at the Goodspeed Opera House with Gene and Kathy. Damn Yankees, a musical tale of the long rivalry between the Red Sox and the Yankees, was a lively show. Some of the inside jokes were lost on us, the big baseball fans that we are! Still it was a fun evening and always nice to spend time with Gene and Kathy. Also, we always manage to enjoy fine weather when we go to the Goodspeed. The lovely setting on the the Connecticut River alone is a treat.

Weekend in Raleigh
We traveled to Raleigh,NC this weekend to visit DiAnn, Sheri's mom, and Mike. We celebrated DiAnn's birthday and Mother's Day. Between the festivities we enjoyed some long walks, a trip to the Farmers' market and a stroll in downtown Raleigh. We hope to bring some warm weather and green trees back to New England!

First trip of year to Olympia Tea Room
Last week we made an early season visit to the Olympia Tea Room for dinner. It was a nice evening, so we were able to have cocktails outside before eating. After dinner we went to the Granite Theater in Westerly to take in a show. Summer is almost here!

Furniture shopping
This afternoon we headed out to order living room furniture for the chalet in New Hampshire. Now all we need to do is install a floor in the living room before it arrives! As it is mud season (the snow is rapidly melting) we should be able to fit in a few weekends of home renovation and decorating in April and May.

Fun in the sun
We spent the first day of our thirteenth year together with some spring riding. We were surprised to find such great conditions at Bretton Woods. We hoped for 1-2 runs with a hike as a back-up plan but in fact we had a full day. We shared the slopes with only a few and were able to carve some big turns. We had the mid mountain lodge to ourselves (it was closed for the season) and had a picnic on the deck with views towards Mt Washington which still has plenty of snow.
We are thinking of coming back this summer for some zip lining!
